Project Agora

This concert brings together the Senegalese Griot tradition, represented through Cissokho, with the experimental and fascinating sound world of renowned Swiss bassist Martina Berther. Voice, kora, e-Bass, and electronics is an instrument combination rarely heard. On top of that is the contrast of musical identities that this concert fuses together.

The 4th edition of Basel-based post-genre festival PROJECT AGORA will take place from 2. - 4.5.25. The festival is a platform to enable dialogue between people of all backgrounds through music and to broaden their perception by bringing new acoustic experiences to life. Nadav Erlich Septet X Güldeste Mamaç, combines the sound of Nadav’s septet, which is a combination of jazz and classical music, with Turkish traditional music. Martina Berther X Sadio Cissokho brings together the Senegalese Griot tradition and the experimental sound world of renowned Swiss bassist Martina Berther.
