Double Wobble
The evening presents two sonic explorations centred around the concept of movement. The trio Stop, Drop, and Roll explores micro-movements in a transdisciplinary, jointly composed performance. Afterwards, The Vibrant Machines, a group of musicians with jazz and classical backgrounds, will present original compositions by saxophonist Charley Rose, inspired by the artist Jean Tinguely.

«Micromovement»
The trio transforms the unique space of the former restaurant next to the Gare du Nord into a playground for discovery, blurring the boundaries between concert and sound installation. This 30-minute performance is a work composed jointly by the three musicians, characterised by shared inspirations such as drone music, phasing processes and contemplative videos.
Always keen to explore different performance formats and not limiting themselves to a single aesthetic, the trio presents Micromovement as a series of visual and sonic vignettes. They utilise their instruments, electronics, objects and live video. This creation invites the audience to immerse themselves in the contemplation of subtle processes and marvel at the microscopic transformations created by sound and image.

«The Vibrant Machines»
This programme, composed by Charley Rose, is inspired by the fascinating world of the Swiss artist Jean Tinguely (1925-1991), a key figure in kinetic sculpture. In his works, Tinguely created a constant dialogue between movement, sound and material and advocated an aesthetic that focuses on the ephemeral and unpredictable.
In this project, the instrumental ensemble becomes a veritable meta-machine in which each musician acts as an essential component of a complex mechanism. The architecture of the compositions is based on a meticulous writing style that simultaneously leaves room for interpretative freedom and recalls the interweaving of a mechanism in which the autonomy of each element contributes to the whole.
The programme combines music and text and offers a poetic and cross-disciplinary evocation of Tinguely's universe and the recurring themes of his work: the power of movement, the fascination of sound and the playful, rebellious and inventive spirit that unites art and life.
