In this Friendly Takeover edition, Andreas Eduardo Frank and four artists address the melting future and the man-made dangers of the Anthropocene.
As an equal artistic collective, Aya Metwalli, Sylwia Zytynska, Tatiana Timonina, Andreas Eduardo Frank and Jan Hoeft investigate the phenomenon of melting in a mixed form of concert, performance and installation.
«melting slowly – but surely» is about the retreat of the glaciers to the highest heights of the mountains, rising sea levels, the feeling of the inevitable apocalypse that is rolling towards us and those emotions that cause us to melt inside.
The participating musicians Andreas Eduardo Frank, Aya Metwalli, Tatiana Timonina and Sylwia Zytynska create musical forms that combine with the amorphous and immersive video art of Jan Hoeft in a performative erosion process.
In the hope of changing the state of aggregation together with the audience, the different artists share their experiences through their music and create an installation-concert experience in close collaboration, in order to melt from within and to listen to the apocalypse.
