«RLLRLRLLRRLRLRLRLLRLRLR» is not a slide on the keyboard, but a performance that is much more than monotonous repetitions.
And this despite the fact that the rhythmic ostinato is repeated unchanged by four percussionists throughout the hour-long performance. Slight changes are orchestrated live via instrument exchanges, mallet changes, through sound spectrum and timbre, resulting in a rhythmic sound spectacle, in a sense euphoria for the ears.
«RLLRLRLLRRLRLRLRLLRLRLR» was created in 2018 as part of eins+eins, ET|ET's second collaborative concert series, in collaboration with Julian Sartorius. The protagonists provide an unforgettable sound experience that, despite seemingly dull repetitions, does not result in boredom but in fascination.
