Friendly Takeover 4 – Stanislas Pili

OPUS 1 is the first chapter of the series «A guardia di una fede» and differs from OPUS 2, which was performed at Gare du Nord in 2020.
The performer models, transforms and fuses sounds according to the processes of decomposition, distillation and sublimation typical of alchemy. The sound is treated as a «tangible» substance and filtered through percussion, liquids and objects. To extract and manipulate the sounds, the artist uses not only acoustic techniques but also electroacoustic devices such as contact microphones, hydrophones, woofers and transducers.
Before and after the performance, the bar will host two installations by sound artist Fabrizio di Salvo.

Biography
Stanislas Pili (*1989) is a performer and composer. He is dedicated to projects in the context of contemporary music, experimental music theatre, kinetic sound installations and improvisation. He has worked with Italian and European orchestras and opera houses (including the South Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, the Teatro Regio di Torino and the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari). Collaborations with composers such as Simon Steen-Andersen and Pierre Sublet. Stanislas was also a scholarship holder of the Fondation Nicati-de Luze and is also a member of the board of the IGNM Bern.
