Friendly Takeover 3 – João Carlos Pacheco

After the successful presentation of «PaceD» at the first edition of Friendly Takeover in 2023, the duo is coming back to the Gare du Nord to present their latest work. This time, they invite the fantastic sound artist, curator and synthesiser player Luís Fernandes to create a new work in collaboration with the duo. Those familiar with the work of Fernandes and PaceD know that they can expect a colourful and rhythmic journey in which percussion and electronics merge in a new and exciting way.
At 19:00, Luís Fernandes, João Carlos Pacheco and Andreas Eduardo Frank will give an insight into the world of modular synthesisers, which will feature prominently in the following concert. They will talk about workflow, the art of improvising with electricity under your fingers, interacting with real instruments, as well as strategies and techniques of modular synthesis.
