Kind Regards / Marlene Andersson & Clara Barry

Kind Regards is a fresh expressive indie folk band from Basel/Lausanne centred around the singer-songwriter duo David Schwarz (vocals, guitar) and Pascal Grünenfelder (vocals, double bass, electric bass). Inspired by the rich fund of the indie folk tradition, the formative influences of their youth and the search for the right expression of their musical vision, the two create their music in a very unique, articulate, often expressive style. And they are not afraid to cross style and genre boundaries. In their handmade songs, the two friends delve into the essential themes of our lives with honesty and passion, melancholy and confidence.

Marlene Andersson & Clara Barry
It is the story of two Swedes who decide to create a unique musical universe together: Marlene Andersson (harp) and Clara Barry (vocals) draw inspiration from their Scandinavian roots and explore folkloric melodies: whether from classical music, jazz or traditional folk song, they arrange and compose in a contemporary chamber-folk style. What inspires them is the timelessness and beauty of these songs and stories. A waltz can meet jazz harmony, a piece by Britten can merge with improvisation, and their own compositions can be inspired by mythology.
