Jazz and classical music meet traditional Turkish music. The Nadav Erlich Septet and Güldeste Mamaç bridge the gaps between the genres, mix the different influences and create a musical synthesis.
This concert combines the sound of Nadav’s septet, which is a combination of jazz and classical music, with Turkish traditional music. The essence of this project is to bridge the gap that often exists between music genres. What is truly captivating people about music is the inherent diversity and unique characteristics that each genre brings, although it is too common for certain genres to be perceived as superior, forming a hierarchy of musical value. This project aims challenges this, blending diverse influences equally, attempting to create a true musical synthesis.
The 4th edition of Basel-based post-genre festival PROJECT AGORA will take place from 2-4 May 2025. The festival is a platform to enable dialogue between people of all backgrounds through music and to broaden their perception by bringing new acoustic experiences to life.
