Interfinity: AUF/TAKT

Traditionally, «Interfinity» opens its editions brilliantly in the very special atmosphere of the Gare du Nord. The renowned «Gershwin Piano Quartet», which has been delighting audiences worldwide since it was founded in 1996, will perform in 2025. The ensemble, consisting of four pianists playing four grand pianos, presents its own arrangements of well-known works from throughout the history of music. With its blend of classical virtuosity and jazzy improvisation, its combination of lyricism and irresistible rhythmic drive, the quartet is causing a sensation and selling out concerts. The ensemble itself describes its work as follows: At the heart of the «Gershwin Piano Quartet's» work is always a very personal examination of the chosen works, which goes far beyond the usual boundaries of interpretation. This ranges from faithful transcriptions to new compositions, incorporating improvisation and remix techniques.
