The programme «I'm your body» focuses on Ensemble Nikels' ongoing search for a homogeneous fusion of acoustic and electronic sounds in the intimate realm of chamber music performance.
Stefan Prins' works offer a progression from a purely electronic starting point, in which only a recording of the group can be heard, to a quartet sound with similar material played live, concluding with a part in which the material is played backwards. This part of the concert ends with a large ensemble piece in which similar musical material is used in a constellation of soloist, chamber music group, ensemble and electronics.
On the other hand, Daniel Zea's piece offers another digital evolution, where instruments such as keyboard and drums trigger digital sounds, embodying the duality between analogue and digital sources, while supported with video footage to expand the realm of media exploration.
