The piano music on this programme ranges from early Beethoven to a new work by Latvian composer Gustav Friedrichson. At the centre are the two works for piano four hands, the «Fantasie» in F minor by Franz Schubert, the key work for this instrumentation, and the world premiere of «Schubert's Reise» by Basel composer Thüring Bräm, which is dedicated to Schubert and his Fantasy. In the hands of the two excellent pianists von Sattel and Zwegintsov, the evening will be an event!
The performing musicians, the Swiss Chamber Soloists, are musicians from Switzerland or who teach and perform at universities in Switzerland, as well as the Swiss Chamber Academy, young students who will be given a platform to perform together with experienced musicians.
