The classic fairy tale «Hänsel und Gretel» is always worth retelling. The Sonus Brass Ensemble has chosen the music of Engelbert Humperdinck and the path of musical narrative theatre and tells the fairy tale very charmingly and empathetically, but deliberately does not omit the oppressive moments. The blind storyteller George Nussbaumer has the great ability to create a wide range of moods and to handle tone colours and dynamics perfectly, immersing the audience in a gripping fairytale world.
With and by the Sonus Brass Ensemble: Stefan Dünser (trumpet), Jan Ströhle (trombone), Harald Schele (tuba), Zoltán Holb (horn), Attila Krako (trumpet), George Nussbaumer (narrator), Stefan Dünser (idea/concept/libretto), Salome Im Hof (director), Mattias Zuggal (lighting)
