This time, the «Ein Haus...» lectures will focus on different strategies for planning buildings. The focus is on conversions, the use of materials and cultural and social resources. A look abroad will enrich the discussions on site.

The most sustainable building is the one that has already been built. Pihlmann Architects have taken this philosophy to heart with their project Thorajev 29, the renovation of a former industrial building in the north-west of Copenhagen. The special feature of this project is the reuse of 90% of the materials already in the building. Some of the materials in the building, which have already caused carbon emissions and will therefore not have any further impact on the climate, will be reused in a completely new way.
