On the occasion of the annual theme of the Institute of Architecture FHNW «Feed the City», the «Ein Haus ...» lectures also deal with architectural strategies for a sustainable food system. The two projects presented show in different ways what buildings for food production in the city can look like and what logistical challenges have to be overcome.

Agrotopia Rooftop Greenhouse, Roeselare
Completed in 2021, the 9,500 m2 greenhouse is Europe's largest public building for urban food production. It was built on the roof of the headquarters of REO Veiling, which as a cooperative is an important link between producers and consumers, from soil to plate.
