Flux de conscience

«Flux de conscience» is a concert inspired by Virginia Woolf's novel «Mrs Dalloway». Published in 1925, the book depicts twenty-four hours in the life of one woman - Clarissa Dalloway. Her memories mingle with the present as she hosts a party in her home. Characteristic of Virginia Woolf's writing style are the parallel streams of thought that confound the linear perception of time. As in all minds, the present is in constant tension with past elements of existence. Music also plays this game: between the present moment of the sounds and the intimate resonances they evoke, a poetic and infinitely renewable dialogue emerges. The new works by Patricia Bosshard, Olga Kokcharova and Denis Schuler use different approaches to refer to this duality between sound and the infinite inner dialogue it triggers.
