The concert evening combines tradition and avant-garde. The traditional instrumental line-up of a piano trio meets the dazzling sound spaces of a mobile loudspeaker system. Junghae Lee, Elnaz Seyedi and Giorgio Tedde have composed works for this novel instrumentation with the aim of combining a mobile sound space concept with a traditional classical instrumentation.
The mobile louspeaker system is part of a research project being developed at the ICST (Institute for Computer Music and Sound Technology) at ZHdK since 2021. Junghae Lee, Elnaz Seyedi and Giorgio Tedde have experimented intensively with translating moving sound spaces into their musical language. The audience can expect a pioneering work that plays with the audience's listening expectations and leads to completely new and different sound sensations.
