Australian composer Liza Lim is undisputedly one of the most exceptional voices in the field of New Music. As a researcher, composer and educator, she writes music with an open mind and a broad horizon. Recurring central questions in her compositional work are based on the examination of rituals of Asian culture and resulting political and ecological concerns. The «Liza Lim Portrait» documents her work with two weighty pieces, an early work and a current composition from 2017.
